Description of accommodation

Elaia Rural House is a recently built rural house. It is located in the Paraje Rural Hoyo Tabares, near the A-374 ring road (Algodonales-Ronda), at about 32.7 km., 1 km. from the city of Ronda, in the centre of a plot of olive grove of more than 7000 m2.

It consists of two floors. On the first floor, there is the living-dining room with fireplace and the kitchen, both separated by a breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped, including small appliances (microwave, toaster, coffee machine, etc.). From the living room there is access to a large porch with barbecue and to the swimming pool, of about 3×8 metres and with a depth of 1 to 1,80 m. It is fully fenced as a measure of privacy. It is completely fenced as a security measure.

On this first floor, but on a higher level, there are two bedrooms, each with two single beds of 105×190. There is also a complete bathroom.

On the first floor, there is a double bedroom with a 150×190 bed, a wardrobe-dressing room and another bathroom. On this floor there is access to a small terrace where you can enjoy beautiful views over the valley of the Guadalcobacín river.

All beds are equipped with their corresponding linen (sheets, bedspreads and blankets). The bathrooms are equipped with individual washbasin and shower towels.

Air conditioning (heat pump) is installed in all rooms.

The house will be available from 16:00 on the day of arrival. Departure may be in the afternoon of the stipulated day.

The house has tourist information brochures (Spanish and English) on the city of Ronda and other places of interest nearby.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In compliance with current legislation (Organic Law 4/2015, of 30 March, on the Protection of public safety) all our guests, over 16 years of age, must complete an accreditation registration form upon entering the house, using a valid official document (passport, ID card...).

Places of interest
There are many places to explore in the surroundings of Casa Rural Elaia:

- Ronda, The City
All of Ronda is a monument. It is essential to ask at the Tourist Office (next to the famous bullring) for a brochure and walk through the whole city, as it is full of beauty, flavour and monuments.

- Hermitage of the Virgen de La Cabeza (10 km away).
It is a hermitage, dug into the stone, where the Mozarabs used to carry out their worship and burials. It is well preserved.

- Sierra de las Nieves
It is a National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. A very beautiful natural environment, for walking, sightseeing and sport.

- Ruins of Acinipo
Ruins of what was once Ronda la Vieja. A Roman city and its amphitheatre.

- Cave of La Pileta
A spectacular, grandiose cave with cave paintings. It takes us back to our ancient past, when man lived in caves. 28000 to 8000 years before Christ.

- Los Alcornocales Park
It is a Natural Park. It is a very characteristic natural environment, where you can appreciate the cork oak and the people who make their living from cork.

- Grazalem Mountainsa
It is a Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. It is a very beautiful natural environment, for walking, sightseeing and sport. It is essential to see the Puerto de Las Palomas and to visit the village of Zahara de la Sierra.
